Nepal is not only rich in natural
beauties and gifts but also in cultural, historical and religious importance.
There are many temples in Nepal which belong to Hindu gods and goddess. Major
holy places are Pashupatinath in kathmandu, janaki temple in Janakpur, Manakamana in gorkha krishna temple in Patan, Swayambhunath and so on.
In
Kathmandu, there exists innumerable temples and other religious places. Among
them Pashupatinah is one of the most famous temples in the country. Most of the Hindus visit here because it is of historical and cultural importance and also
one of the “World Heritage”.
The
temple is artistically built and richy ornamated in pyagoda style. We can see
many monkeys and birds among the side of the temples. Many sadhus have been
living there for a long time. There is a big funeral place where the dead
bodies are cremated. We can see many devotees of pashupati having ritual dips
in the Bagmati river every morning. Especially during Shivaratri fair, many devotees come here from
foreign countries.
The people who are strongly theist
believe that Pashupati has saved the country. Everyone realises that Pashupati
site should be quickly cleaned and well planned to save it properly. The government
as well as all the sector concerned are responsible for the preservation of
that sacred place that illuminates the dignity and identification of the
nation.
